Solos and Duos took the stage this past weekend and brought back lots of bling-bling and excitement!
At the StarQuest Dance Competition this past weekend, CM Dance had four fantastic soloists and three dynamic duets perform their competition pieces to the panel of judges and brought home several awards! See the recap below:
Platinum Plus:
- Big Time (Kaya Solo): 4th Place Overall Nova Petite Solo Category, Terrific Traveling Special Award
- Clearly (Charlie Solo): 2nd Place Overall Classic Petite Solo Category, and Charlie was also crowned as the 2024 Fredericksburg Classic Petite Emerging Artist
Platinum:
- Pretty Bird (Tabitha Solo): Overall Tap Category Winner for Classic Petite Solos, 5th Place Overall Classic Petite Solo Category, and Tabitha was the Mini/Petite Solo Costume Award Winner
- Born to Entertain (Tabitha Solo): Overall Music Theatre Category winner for Classic Petite Solos
- Bring'Em Out (Charlie & Kaya Duo): Overall Hip Hop Category Winner for Classic Petite Duet/Trio, 2nd Place Overall Classic Petite Duet/Trio
- In Two (Madeline & Maya Duo): Pure Passion Special Award
- Pas D'esclave (Aubrey Solo): Top 5 Costume Award of Distinction for Senior Solos

Our competition team participates in three mandatory dance competitions each year as a whole team. In total, our studio ends up performing around 30 different pieces at each of these events over the course of the weekend! Starquest was our first one for this season.
